Of all the Tagalog expressions that we can teach here in Costa Rica, this stood out: KAMOTE!

… ay kamote, me olvido mi llave… (i forgot my flash disc)
… kamote, tengo hambre! (im hungry)
… ay kamote, necesito levantar mut temprano! whew! (i need to wake up early)

Fede is good now in saying it with Pinoy accent. Luis is still studying how to say it properly. My little sister Daniela, said it with a high-pitched voiced! and Tio Jorge said it in a very saintly voice…

and when someone asked me to go out, all i could say was:
KAMOTE ka!!!
