the time has come

i’m just on a break of doing a video for the Latin America Mission Appreciation day to be held later. i couldn’t think of more ideas so i decided to just read the readings for today. and was stucked by these 3 verses:

“It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4: 20)

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” (Ps. 118: 17)

“Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature” (Mk. 16:15)

the readings for today are affirmations for the mission work that we are doing. we are commissioned to go out and proclaim the Gospel; share God’s goodness; contaminate others with God’s love. and not only to our families and to our friends, but Jesus is telling us to proclaim to every creature – and that includes strangers, the poor, the needy, the sick, and those who are very difficult to love: our enemies.

i admire the convictions of Sts. Peter and John and the psalmist, as they declare to speak what they have seen, heard and experience from God / Jesus. that even if they know that they might face death because of what they believe in, nevertheless they stood by it, for they know that life here on earth is nothing compared to the life waiting for them in paradise.

and as we have the LatAm mission appreciacion day later, i pray that the people who will attend will have the same convictions as strong as the apostles and the psalmist had. may they see the privilege to be called and chosen to proclaim the Good News in a foreign land, where they will experience God’s greatness, power and grace in it’s highest. I pray that these people will see how great and urgent the work of eveangelization is especially in Latin America and may they learn to give up and hold on to the annointment that Jesus is giving each one of us in the gospel.

okay, break time is over. need to go back to video-making. and yes, i am inspired more.
