The wind blows where it wills

carry on

“The wind blows where it wills.” – John 3:8

We cannot see the wind. We only see the effect it has on things we see the leaves on the trees moving, we see waves of movement on the grass, or we see the terrifying power of a typhoon. the Holy Spirit is called the wind; the coming of the Spirit at Pentecost was likened to “a powerful wind from heaven” (Acts 2:2). We cannot see the Spirit; we can only see the effects in people who live by the Spirit. – from living with Christ Daily Companion; April 17, 2012

Carry me through the wind, Oh Lord. May it lead me closer to You.
